Een vraag aan/A question to ... Femke Dekkers & Marleen Sleeuwits

posed by Dineke Blom

PuntWG has a large and diverse network. However, it reaches only living persons. Which figure from a long bygone era would you have liked to invite to your project? Can you expand on your hypothetical collaboration?

Marleen Sleeuwits: It would have been excellent if Jaques Tati could have helped or visited us for this project. He was a master in building film sets, models and installations. For instance he built an entire city for his film Playtime from 1976. For this, he also made models in perspective which made them seem more spacious and seamlessly blended into the existing city.

Femke Dekkers: Because a collaboration with Kurt Cobain would be too nervewracking, I'd choose to work with Hendrik Werkman. Werkman would teach me the printing process and WG would be temporary set up as a print workshop. We would be silent and experiment a lot.
